Workers' Educational Association - Save Adult Education

Adult education not only ensures the continued development and support of individuals, it also provides learners with important social learning environments which particularly benefit those in society who are in need of educational support, seek personal growth, seek career development, wish to reenter employment, and for those who were not able to access school based learning initially.

It is a vital platform also for those with educational needs.

Adult education benefits society also by providing additional spaces for social engagement and community growth.

Everyone has the right to learn.

When I taught with the WEA, many of my students were OAPs – I remember those classes fondly for the rich, diverse, and thoroughly interesting debates we had. Learning never stops – nor should it.
